President Obama is an avid basketball fan and (as he has done in years past) filled out a bracket for the NCAA tournament.  Each morning, we’ll post updates on how the President has fared in the previous day’s games.

March 17 – Top 0.3%, Ranked 17,276

President Obama’s missed two picks in the first day of the second round, which has left him in the top 0.3% of brackets filled out through ESPN.  Or in other words, only 1 in 500 people picked more teams correctly.

The President had picked Michigan State to upset UCLA, but he only had them advancing one more round, so it wasn’t a big loss.

However, he did not predict that Morehead State would upset Louisville, and he had Louisville advancing to the Sweet Sixteen, so that was a pretty big blow to his bracket.

It is interesting to note that none of President Obama’s picks made the final Four this year. He did pretty good through the sweet sixteen, but the Elite Eight match ups did not go his way. Let us see how he does this Monday Night on the Libyan crisis.
