White House Press Briefings are conducted most weekdays from the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room in the West Wing.

President Obama signs commutation letters in the Oval Office today. The President granted commutations for 22 individuals.

Last November, President Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping made history by jointly announcing their plans to combat climate change. Today, we followed through on that announcement by submitting our post-2020 #ActOnClimate goal to the @UnitedNations Framework Convention on Climate Change: The U.S. will cut carbon pollution and protect public health by reducing emissions 26-28% below 2005 levels by 2025.

President Obama Signs Memorandum of Disapproval on Anti-Labor Bill

Welcome to the White House Student Film Festival

This is Kid President’s video address that kicked off the 2015 White House Student Film Festival.

For the past few months, K-12 students have been putting the finishing touches on short films about this year’s theme: The Impact of Giving Back. We received more than 1,500 submissions from around the world and, on Friday, March 20 we premiered 15 Official Selections at the 2015 White House Film Festival.
