As we look to the end of this historic Administration, we will bring together both emerging and established leaders from the advocacy, philanthropic, business, and law enforcement sectors to lift up the progress and advancements that have been made and surface opportunities to tackle persistent
Participants will elevate the importance of unconscious bias training as a lever for building equity in opportunity and an engaged workforce. The discussion will go beyond training as a lever for mitigating bias and specifically identify the nexus between behaviors of an organization’s leaders and successful strategies for inclusion.
This year’s White House Christmas Tree, which will be on display in the Blue Room, is a 19 foot Douglas Fir donated by a tree farm in Pennsylvania.
The tree will be presented to Mrs. Obama by Dave and Mary Vander Velden of Oconto, Wisconsin, the 2016 winners of the National Christmas Tree
Association national tree contest.
